Why an ORC?
Burning fossil fuels is costly and usually a high percentage of heat energy is wasted through the exhaust pipe or the chimney. Exhaust fumes contain carbon dioxide (CO2) that is known as one of the causes of global warming; this damage weighs at least as heavy as the financial loss when taken into proper account. It is irresponsible to hold on to a process that plays such a large part in the current climate problem – especially when there is an alternative.
The Tri-O-Gen ORC generates electricity from useless (waste) heat. Electricity can be easily transported, used and sold and therefore makes for an excellent profit model. This need is turned into a virtue by Tri-O-Gen’s ORC; extra electricity without extra CO2 emission. Both environment and economy benefit; it’s possible after all.
Luckily enough the amount of users is increasing. An ORC can be fitted very quickly and can be applied to almost anything that generates heat. The only condition is that there is enough (waste) heat with a temperature of at least 350˚ C available.
