Stainkoeln Flare Gas
At the Grontmij landfill in the northern province of Groningen, flare gas serves as heat source to the Tri O-Gen ORC which has been in operation since January 2006. The 5,000 hours of operation has demonstrated that the ORC is not hampered by fluctuation in gas quantities and quality, and hardly any technical problem has occurred. Since the start of the demonstration phase, over a quarter of a million kWe has been generated.
